THE ASK
Franklin Fueling Systems is the world’s leading provider of complete fueling systems, comprised of the most extensive line of industry fueling solutions. With such a wide variety of products and technical backgrounds, they are set apart in fueling system providers with everything from regulation upgrades to new and rebuilt fueling stations. Boasting complete packages of pipework, manhole chambers, under dispenser containment, submersible pumps and monitoring systems – their catalog of highest quality products and services make them a standard in the petroleum industry.
With such an extensive line of fueling system products, Franklin Fueling Systems were in need of a sales tool to help their representatives create quotes and orders on the go. Using Excel sheets at that time, the collateral of laptops being transported and quotes being unclear to customers lead Franklin to Aumcore – asking if we could provide a mobile app solution for iPads as their sales team’s go-to tool.
SOLUTION
Aumcore went to work researching the landscape of the fueling industry. In search of a solution that would not only satisfy – but also disrupt. With so many product variations and possibilities, the app needed to illustrate various scenarios, and the products that would be used in those situations. We pre-created over 10 “bundles” of information with built in pricing sheets and standard products based on the variation of regional requirement standards.
Housing the entire catalog of fueling products by SKU, description and price, the mobile app eliminated the need for hauling around heavy laptops and product sheets.
Landscapes were also built into the display, allowing the sales rep to view where products would be used in their fueling system, which also functioned as a learning tool for their customers to better understand their own fueling needs. The delivered mobile app for Franklin Fueling Systems not only proved to be an invaluable sales tool saving time and expense, it also created a platform in which the sales executives and clients could easily view and select needs based on their own requirements, create instant custom quotes, and make the selling process smooth and seamless for the sales team and their clients.
RESULTS
With this tool, the Franklin Fueling Sales Representatives were easily able to find a starting point to help their clients select the products best for their needs, and save valuable time when interfacing. As no needs are the same, the mobile app also allowed the reps to adjust the bundles as needed, with options of adding or removing products, adjusting price to individual products, and offering discounts on the entire order.
